I guess that is cool.
My car is in the shop right at this second getting the muffler worked
on because of the same problem. I placed the muffler into the rubber
hanger to make the noise stop, but it came back off in about 4 weeks.
I hope your muffler actually stays on for much longer than that.
I have a '98 Jetta GLX-VR6, so I'm not sure what the deal is with
the rubber hanger being shorter... I don't know if that even matters.
When looking at the hook on the muffler, I feel it should be longer in
order to stay on the hanger better.
