Not sure what the H&R springs look like, but the coils should not be touching. That is definatley the noise you are hearing, coils banging on each other. Does the spring not taper at one end, should be the bottom. Springs do this so the coils go inside each other under compression. Maybe the rear springs are upside down. Billy T.
