This is somewhat off topic from the list, but someone should know...

Will a VR6 Passat Wagon make it it the US anytime soon?  My partner's
'85? Ford 740 Turbo (from the Sweedish plant) is in the shop once again,
and he is seriously considering replacing it with a Passat wagon, but
wouldn't mind the extra power of the VR6.  Also, what is the safety
record for the Wagon?  His wife is a bit of the irrational paranoid
type, so they have two Volvos now.
