tire continuation

Thanks to everyone who gave insight on my premature tire wear question.

Next question: has anyone increase the tire width from the stock
205/50/15 to a 215/50/15?  I find the stock wheels a bit thin.  Yes, I
should buy new 17" rims but I'm just not willing to invest the money
into this car.  Since I need new tires, I may as well make the best of
what I have.

Any insight is appreciated.

Are the stock Goodyears just an ugly tire?  Any stock size look more
"beefy"?
