Re: 30k service?

Just got my 30k service done today. They changed the plugs, changed the
oil, new air filter, new fuel filter, and flushed the brakes and radiator.
While they were at it, they also fixed the oil leak (gush) that they created
at my last oil change. Then they tried to sell me new tires as well (at
least the guy admitted that the GA's are crap), but I turned them down. The
whole service was a whoping $486. Time to find a good local independant VW
mechanic. The car runs much better now, but that could be due to the fact
that it now has oil in it rather than going through 3 - 4 quarts per day.
Also checked out a '99 VR6 GTi while at the dealer. Silver Arrow with beige
leather. Sweet car! Was already sold, so couldn't take it out for a spin.

Subject: 30k service?

Hey VW's,
I am just past 30,000 on my Jetta GT and haven't checked the manual to see
what if anything is needed for the 30K mark? I plan on dropping a K&N
filter in it any time now, and change the plugs? Anything else?
All help is appreciated!
