RE: Jettas are slow...

This I will admit (if there was a VR6 with the same mods)...I also have a
sealed ram-air system and have raised the compression. My car will redline
at 7,200 rpm in 5th (.80 gear) with out a prob...just waiting to blow this
tranny so I can get a 6-speed with .70 6th gear. There's a picture on
www.venommotorsports.com click on members, and then click on Eric Ansay. I
am trying to keep the "stock" look to keep it a sleeper. The car flipped
169,500 miles tonight -- original engine, 2nd tranny -- gone through two
stock clutches and two sport clutches, waiting to put in a 1.8t in. A
friend who has a modded VR6 said that he would have never known that it was
a 4-cyl -- except for the way it shifted -- he also said that it had more
power and he like how you could easily spin both wheels in 2nd. I'm
starting to work on a 98 Cabrio to make it more of a "guys car"

Eric
