A/C problem - HELP!

Hey everyone,

     This problem with my a/c is pissing me off to the point that I'm 
contemplating dumping my beloved baby.

     Every year for the past 3 years, my a/c has stopped working, and 
it happens at exactly this time of the year.  I know I'm supposed to 
use the a/c at least 1nce every month to keep it lubricated and 
prevent leaking of the refrigerant, and I do.  

     Anyway, the first year, I took it to the dealer and they did some 
half-assed job at checking for leaks and then refilled the 
refrigerant.

     The second year, I went back and they refilled it and then put a 
dye in.  The problem was that I was supposed to take it back 2 weeks 
later for them to check the dye, but I neglected to do it. 

     So now, I guess it's kinda my fault for not getting it checked 
again last year.  But I don't want to spend another $120 trying to fix 
the damn a/c again.  And I think it's ridiculous that the a/c has 
broken down in the first place.
      
     Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there any thing I can do to 
take it up with VWOA or the dealer?  Any help would be grealy 
appreciated, so that I can keep this car!
