Ahah! Another thread (besides rear door tweeters and spelling) off onto
which we can all go! (Sorry, a little grammar joke there; couldn't
resist.) So this is weird: I swear that when I first bought my 98 GLX,
the alarm would go off if I opened the trunk while it was armed, as Adam
describes. But it doesn't do that anymore. Now I get the same result as
Steve describes: when closing the trunk after opening it either with the
remote or the key, it beep-chirps and relocks the doors.

I may be on drugs about my car's behavior changing since purchase, but
since Adam's (at least) behaves differently, I wonder how many listers'
GLXs allow trunk opening while armed, and how many don't? (Note that
Steve and I posted that we have 98s, and Adam didn't mention his
vintage.) And does anyone know how to control it, since I wish mine
*did* go off, and Adam wishes his *didn't*? (I guess this'll be what
makes me finally buy that aftermarket alarm so I can roll my windows
down from 100 feet away...)
