Tim, that was a pretty LAME apology, I'll address each of your points one
at a time.

1. YOU THOUGHT WRONG. Think before you think again. Since you were wrong,
you shouldn't be surprised that other vw freaks would point out it was
wrong.

2. I have no evidence that shows that GLX owners are more or less computer
savvy than 16 valvers. We just have newer cars.

3. This has *NOTHING* to do with reading every post, it has to do with the
fact that you are PERPETUATING the equivalent of a VIRUS. Every Internet
expert you speak to will confirm that Internet hoaxes are a plague on the
Internet, and you were perpetuating it. Even if *I* don't read the post,
someone else might, and might forward the message on. And of NOONE is going
to read the post, then I'm right again, you shouldn't have posted it to
this list.

4. This attitude sucks, and you should be sorry you made yourself out to be
a fool for the following reasons:
a.) You believed it, hook line and sinker, when it was a LIE.
b.) You posted it telling everyone to send it on "just in case",
essentially trying to perpetuate the problem
c.) Your "apology" is half-assed, instead of saying, "GEEZ, I'm sorry, it
won't happen again!!! I'll let the fool who sent it to me know not to send
it on any further", you say in a sarcastic tone, "sorry for wasting your
important time".

In short, these hoaxes are the great "newbie detectors" on the Internet.
You've been exposed as a newbie, now learn your lesson, apologize, and get
over it. You probably won't make the same mistake again. Now sit back, and
wait for the next fool to send one of these, and you can pounce on him like
I just did. :)
