I'll have to agree, here. I have the stock suspension on my '95 GLX, and
have never driven a GLX with anything BUT stock suspension. And I think
it sucks. It can be very scary, especially on 8h or 9h trips in pouring
rain through NYC, et cetera. Wallowy, heavy-handed, sluggish, call it
what you will, but it's definitely NOT safe, in my opinion, at high
speeds or through the curves. In comparison, I do have a very stiff, and
lowered suspension on my '84 GLi (Boge and Newspeed), and the difference
is enormous. I can throw that little go-cart all over the place, and know
that it will do what I want, go where I want, act how I want. It's a very
different story with the GLX. VERY different.
Sorry for the WoB.
