Just out of curiosity.

What's the top speed of the beetle with the supercharger on it?  Is it
still ultra-low?  Does it actually have any top end acceleration?

My point being, sure, that A4 might not beat you in the low end, but
scooting along at 180Kph, guess which car i'd rather be in?
