To quote the FAQ from Clifford on a similar subject:

"Briefly, your car dealer would have
to clearly demonstrate in a court of law a directly causal relationship between
having an alarm installed and specific damage
to whatever part or parts you wanted to have fixed under warranty. "

Now change "having an alarm installed" to "having a performance part installed"
and you get the fact that the dealer has to prove it was your fault.
