Yeah, there was something called the Auto Dent Pad sold in a lot
of Auto boutiques.  It was a thick piece of foam that attached to your
door by magnets with a nylon strap which attached to the door edge
to protect it from being stolen.  I still have a set and rarely use it as it
is very ugly.  I guess it works though.
