hrm...not i am not sure if there is a mathmatical way to do it with out getting your car dyno.  if you live in the los angeles area...then i know a guy that will do it for $25 bucks...and he is really good...it is also a good way to know where your car stands with horse power....at last dyno i was at 181.5 at the crank....w/air box mod, q-chip, and tt stainless exhaust....when you read those articles claiming 10 hp from a chip, and 12 from an exhaust....it is true, only if you have all other mods..(ie cams, port and polished,headers,.etc)
if you dont...you get bet on about half to one- third of the hp that the article cliams you will get...so 12=4 to 5 hp with no mods....a dyno will give you your opt. shift point, and torque curve....its pretty cool to see you car go 120 mph without moving...
