Basically the VR6 is a narrow angle V6 that fits both banks of cylinders
under a single head. What differs mainly from other V6's such as the
new Passat (Audi) is the size. In most cases you can fit the VR6 where
a 4 cylinder would normally fit - not a "V6". This is what I understand.
Also, the "V6" Passat is 30V and the "VR6" is just 12V.
