97 GLX starting problem

Over the last week my 97 GLX (~12k) has developed a problem starting. It
usually happens in the morning after the car has been idle for awhile,
although it has also happened with only a few hours idle time.

What happens is nothing. Turn the key and nothing but the radio is heard.
The magic number seems to be three, that is it starts on the third key turn.

Anyone else with a similar experience?
