Neuspeed springs

In case anyone is wondering how Neuspeed Sport Lowering Springs work with
the stock struts and shocks, here's the report.

Damping (especially rebound) is insufficient to handle the springs in the
progressive rates. Works ok on small bumps but rebounds hard on big bumps.
You can drive for miles building confidence and believing that the setup is
sweet, then, suddenly a big dip or bump upsets the car terribly and you know
that things are not quite right.

Bilsteins will add $650 to the work order. It was $350 for the springs only.
I can't yet afford the shocks so I have to make do for a while. Try, if you
can, to do both at the same time.

Neuspeed claims a 1 inch drop with Sport springs, 1.5 to 2 on A3's. My car
dropped approx 2.5 in front and 2 in rear. The shop told me to expect approx
20% increase in stiffness, I would guess it more like 60%. Work was done by
Motorsport Dynamics in Sacramento and they did a great job. I also had 1
degree neg camber alignment. All very good.

On the plus side, the car looks GREAT!! Slight rake, very aggressive but not
overdone. Just right. Motorsport says that when I get the Bilsteins, the car
should raise approx 1/4 inch.
