Uhh, what he said.
No really, I have one in my Jetta and it makes a huge difference in
handling. I STILL don't know why, but it does. I didn't have any creaks
before, so I have no idea if it tightens them up (but I still don't have
any, so it couldn't hoit :)).
It is noticably stiffer back there too. Before, coming into my townhouse
parking lot, I could really tell that the rear end wasn't as strong as the
front (front stress bar only -- coming in over speed bumps where only one
side of the car gets them), but now front and rear are equal -- quite
amusing actually.
Get one! And make *THEM* pay for it :)
