If this is a new instrument cluster I would take the car back to the
dealer.  Here in Colorado there is this unknown mileage clause that
states: Any vechile with a mileage gage not original is unknown mileage
regardless of if it is documented.  This happened to me on my 94 GLS. 
Demand that they get you a new car.  This little error on my part cost
me 3 thousand bucks when it came time for trade in. What year is your
car?
