blaupunkt radio

GLX'ers,

I have a '97 glx and i am trying to find out if a blaupunkt radio will fit
in it.  Crutchfield says that the jetta has 6 3/8" of space and the radio
will need 6 3/4" to fit.  I believe that someone on this list has been able
to put the radio in with no problem.  I just want to be sure before i spend
time ripping out my old radio and slapping in the new one.
