I have had some problems with my 95 GLX. Most recently it has been with the power windows on the passenger side. The front one has the major problem which involves replacing the regulator. That is a $362 item. The rear window froze about two months ago and it luckily only had to be rebuilt ($90 at the garage I go to). The front one I was not so lucky with. Long story made short. Called VWOA to voice my complaints and they offered to pay for %50 of the part, but no labor. I had already gone out and bought a used regulator for the same price and can have it installed for half of what the dealer (Martens VW/Volvo in Bethesda, MD) charges which is about $180. It was nice to know that at least they, VWOA, are making an effort. I did ask them if my other windows crap the bed whether or not the %50 deal would stand and was told that they evaluate each complaint on a case by case basis. Not the response I was looking for. Anyway, that's my FYI.
