i will start off by saying that i do not know every thing and what I am
going to tell you may very well be a custom fabrication.   But recently
at Lime Rock (a race track in Conn.) I saw a vr6 jetta with the dual
headlights, the jetta hood and a grill which eliminated the need for
this extension or a new hood.   The grill was badge less and had no
manufacturer name on it but they do exist. btw it looked real nice.
