RE: scarcity/rarity (was: color)

This does not pertain to GTI's, but when I was shopping for a GLX, I found a
Suede Silver one at a dealer in PA. The salesman told me it was a special
(?) one time thing. I checked the insides, and sure enough it was a brand
new (not repainted) GLX, VR6 engine and all. Too bad it was an auto--I
probably would've bought it just for the rarity factor. Anyway, someone out
there in PA has the only Suede Silver GLX in existence....

ps. Are you guys seeing a bunch of garbage at the end of my emails? I think
it only appears in the digest version. Anyone know how I can cut that stuff
out? I have MS Outlook for Win95.

What with all this talk of color, it got me wondering: what's the rarest
(based on color) GTI-VR6 out there?

I have a Mulberry '95 (one of less than 300) and think perhaps only the Jazz
Blue is more scarce. I know there were some 200 Jazz Blue DE's built last
year, but wasn't the color also available in early '98 production?

And FWIW, I think the Ginster GTI's look schweet!
