Suspension on the way - How to remove rear top shock nut?

Well, my Bilsteins/NS Sport springs are on the way. I'm looking
thru the Bentley, and pretty much have the front disassembly/
assembly process figured out. I bought a deep-well 22mm socket
and ground 2 sides flat to grab with a wrench, while using a
hex key to hold the shaft.

I see that RB says that you should use some special VW tool to remove
the rear top shock nut, but there isn't much detail. I haven't
looked in there yet, either. What is the process for getting
the rears unhooked, and do I need to make a special tool for that
too?

Thanks!
