RE: new GLX paint problems

Well, I just got off the phone with the "service director"
at the dealership, and he tried to make it sound as if
it was no big deal. The current plan is to buff it,
wet sand it, etc, and if nothing happens they're going to
repaint it. Of course he claims the body shop's paint will
"last longer than the factory stuff". I'm feeling less
positive about this as time goes on... He also said he
could replace the spoiler, but he'd have to paint it
anyway (said in a tone as if to imply I was stupid for
not knowing they came unpainted from the factory)...

I would certainly prefer Dave's deal and just get a new
car. They haven't made any other offer and I'm nervous
that once I commit to having it painted that I'm stuck
with it. Should I be demanding a new car at this point?

MA has a lemon law at least, so if I go back to the
shop with this problem again I should be off the
hook. 8-/

Anyone in the Boston area should be pretty leary of
these dealerships, I haven't dealt with one that I've
liked so far. (Though I only dealt with Bernardi, Belmont,
South Shore when I was shopping, I was soooo underwhelmed
by their complete lack of interest in selling me a car
that I finally bought from Atamian, and now it feels
like their service is giving me a run around.)
