Re: ABS Experience..

Hey,

No need to worry my friend!! My first ABS experience was in a huge rainstorm
and some lady had just made a left turn in front of me and I had to swerve to
avoid her....I turned the wheel so much that I thought for sure that I was
going to end up in a spin and hit another car, but my car went EXACTLY where I
was steering and the car handled like it was on rails!! That was one of the
experiences that made me a VW lover for life! With ABS it is normal for you to
feel the brake pedal pulsate when depressed, BUT, you must keep your foot on
the brake pedal WHILE you feel that, or else you will deactivate the ABS and
you will wind up in bad shape. You will get used to the feel of it after it
happens a few times. Better yet, go to an empty parking lot and try to
activate the ABS by hitting the brakes pretty hard...preferably on a wet
surface. Good to know you and your GLX came out of your experience in good
condition.

Take care,
