Buy used suspension parts?

Howdy all,

I am considering buying some used parts but I don't know if it is
wise to do this.  Anyone know if buying used sway bars, stress bars,
springs, shocks is wise?  Cost savings is great but are there any
caveats, other than evaluating condition of the used part?
