Heya dude! I personally would recommend a 1986 GTi (best year in my
mind). I am probably gonna buy one this summer and stick a 2.0L
long-block 8 valver in it (approx. 150hp). I personally would stick with
a 8 valver. They have great low-end torque plus they are relatively to
tune up compared to the 16v. Plus maintnence is cheaper...Everything is
just better.
