Headlight Bulbs for a 97 Jetta

Ok Get this:

I go to the local autoparts dealer for Wagner. They say my Jetta is 9005 
and 9006 Bulbs differenet for each side, there computer says this and so 
does there book.. I call Wagner same thing.. the 96 however has 9004.

So, What the hell is in there? Yesterday I go to the dealer to replace a 
burnt out light under warranty, it wasn't the light it was a fuse. The guy 
replaced it, and he replaced it with a 9004... What the heck is going on??!

Any ideas.. I have a 3/97 Build date...
