cd changer

The Bose Head Unit is proprietary piece made by Matsushita for Bose. The
wiring in the trunk is for the proprietary CD-Changer. The adaptor
reconfigures the DIN setting for the after-market unit which does not
have the power source integrated in it.

The adaptor uses the 2 RCA plug's and it plugs into the DIN plug in the
trunk, it had 2 DIN ends. If you don't get the adaptor, the unit is
useless with the factory trunk wiring, unless you sit there and figure
out the wiring and redo it. For me, the $15.00, was worth, the not
having to sit there and re-wire the DIN plug.

Why'd you need an adaptor? I though the thing was already pre-wired for
the
changer. In My trunk there a three cables: A left and right channel RCA
type
plug and a DIN cable for the Changer controls and power I thought. So
what
was the adapter for and why'd you need to pick-up a seperate power
source?
