Re: Summary of 1998 VR6 problems?

I sometimes have the rough idle when I first start the car as well. The
service rep at my dealership said that this is a normal condition. He
stated that the idle codes are reset every time the car is started, & they
are not set until the engine is sufficiently warm. I think that he said
that it was for emissions. By allowing the idle codes to be reset each time
the car is started, it can make adjustments for current conditions. My
dealer has been OK so far; so I no reason not to believe him.
