RE: Removing rear Jetta emblem

Speaking of "Stealth Mode" last night I was driving with just the
headlights and fogs on. Very low key. This means no rear lights, parking
lights, or interior lights. It works well when you pass people and they
just see the reflectors going to work. Theres no license plate lights
either, which comes in handy sometimes. As to how fast you may be going,
who knows, you just have to wait for a street light or something. Removing
the emblems is similar to my SAAB SPG - No emblems or anything. Thats how
you can tell the SPG from all the others. My only tags are required plates,
"900SPG".
Anyways - question: I was accelerating onto the highway yesterday in 2nd
gear at @ 52mph and when I went to put it into 3rd it wouldn't go, until I
slowed down to around 45... and ideas?? There was no grinding or anything,
it was like it was blocked or something. This is at least the 3rd time this
has happened. I don't think its user error.
