     Ooooh, be careful ...  I used these on my '87 GTI and after a while 
     the door to the tank showed marks from it.  Probably being a black car 
     made it worse.

VW/Jetta Trivia.....
     
I've had my Jetta for a few months now and every time I fill it with 
gas, I've thought it would be nice if it had a holder on the door to
hold the cap. Well...stupid me...as I am looking at the cap that I placed on 
top of the gas pump, I notice two cutouts that allow it to rest on
the top edge of the door.
