     Jim,

Your dealer reminds of the time I was visiting family in New York one
weekend and when I went to leave sunday night my thermostat went on my
94 Passat GLX. I called triple A and called around to find a dealer.
The only one with a sales person in the office (I needed directions)
was in Hicksville NY. Well, when the flatbed dropped me of after they
had closed, I found out it was a Jaguar dealer. They ended up being
real nice and fixing me first thing monday morning (for $75 and hour,
can we say bend over). I spent the entire day in the Jaguar show
room. The best part was watching how the sales people worked. They
were all women. All very attractive in the their mid to late
thirties. All wore fur coats and short skirts when going out on test
drives (it was maybe 55 degrees out). All the customers were men in
their mid to late fifties. All in all pretty funny to watch.

Seems they had picked up VW to keep the mechanics busy, as the new
Jag's are nowhere as unreliable as the old ones.

     Later,

     Warren

thanks for the tip...i may try it for a year....they promise discounts i
can use for basics....my local veedub dealer is big on service but shy
on discounts....probably due to the fact vw is the cheapest of their
line of cars....get this, they are a lotus, rolls, ferrari, land rover,
bently, audi, porsche, bmw, vw dealer....i felt odd leaning on a 225,000
dollar ferrari while signing the papers for my glx....interesting
experience....

any new news on the progress of the roll royce purchase by vw????
