Re: Higher Wattage Bulbs

Well- any wattage bulb, correctly aimed will not distrub other
drivers. What triggered my interest was a ride in my roomate GTI last
night that has far superior lighting than our Jettas. They use a 2
bulb system that is much more effective. I Europe the all use much
brighter, higher quality lamps (i.e. 80 lo 100 hi) and no one over
there is going blind. You will notice that any low wattage or weak
bulb can be a pain in the ass if incorrectly aimed and wattage really
has nothing to do with it. Quite often headlights from the factory
are not even properly aimed. After lowering my car I had to have my
headlights re-aimed, they are more effective now than when the car was
new however still weak incomparison to the GTI.

Suggestions? Yes. Please don't drive behind me at night after upgrading.

Also, please make sure to have your headlight professionally aligned after
completing the installation.
