The exact same thing happened to me about a year ago. A new rim from the
dealer were like $345 or something. CRAZY! But, with a few phone calls, I
tracked some down, and they might still have them.
The name of the place (I think) is "Autobahn Performance". (Well, I know it's
Autobahn-something.) They advertise in the back of EUROPEAN CAR. They're
located outside Atlanta, GA. (There are a lot of places named
"Autobahn"-something. This place only sells VW and Audi parts.)
When it happened to me, I called them, and they said they didn't have any, but
could possibly track some down. He called me back the next day, and said he
found a dealer who had 4 of them. (Some guy had bought a GLX, but wanted
different wheels. So, the dealer kept the originals.) He sold me one for $120
(if I remember correctly). Good deal, I think, and the rim had only gone a few
miles on some test drives. It was in mint condition.
Look in the back of E.C. It'll be a small ad. But maybe they can help!
