Changer Cable (WAS:Re: CD changer cable not pre-routed in '98)

Anyone know off hand if the pre-routed cable in the 97 Jetta is connected to 
the head unit.  My CD Changer and adapter is going to be installed next week 
and I'd like to know if the deck needs to be pulled as well.
