You need to change the headlight switch to the European one. It uses the same
connectors as the one in your car, but it gets rid of the "off" position that
keeps your parking lights on. In addition, it adds a rear fog light position.

aha! but that only turns off the headlights, not the parking and
tail...better than nothing though...thanks
