in praise of Hunter

Since the current seems to flow in the direction of "he doesn't have it" or "we haven't seen enough to know, yet" I will offer the opinion that I've seen enough. Hunter is capable of being a stellar power forward who can back up LaFrentz or whomever for us and play effectively as much as we are willing to use him. He will develop the ability to score as he did in college and become a bruising presence, giving us good defense, rebounding on both ends, and points in the paint. We've seen much more of Banks and he still has to prove he can "see the court." I accept that. Many point guards have to develop that instinct. And Mihm, I suspect, needs three times the reps to "get it," but I think he keeps getting closer. But Hunter? Look at what he did when he was set free for a paltry four games. If you are one of the "talent spotters," I suggest that you have enough evidence to know that he's got it. That's my instinct, anyway. Gene (did I ever tell you that I discovered Chuck
Foreman? well, the next Chuch Foreman is the running back from Minnesota--you heard it here first). Cheers
