Dave Cowens

I posted an article a while back about Dave Cowens' interest in the
Northern Kentucky University basketball coaching job. Well, he withdrew
his name from consideration. This passage and quote from Dave appeared
in today's Cincinnati Enquirer:



Newport native Dave Cowens, an NBA Hall of Famer and former NBA coach
who applied for the job, said he withdrew his name recently.

"I was very interested in the job, but something else has come up that
I'm pursuing," Cowens said. "But whoever gets that job is going to get a
great job."

Could the something else be the Celtics' job? I doubt it, but thought
everyone might find it interesting.

P.S. Hmmm. You play five guys basically the entire second half without a
rest and run out of gas at the end of the game. Shocking!!! John Carroll
gives me a headache.
