It took us (you and me) five years to get into sync, CeltsSteve, but right
on.
Go figure. See what I mean about the instinctual backlash against all
pre-Danny
players vs. those supposed upsiders he has brought to us?

Familiarity breeds contempt. First impressions last. [Insert your favorite cliche here]. Anyway, I still remember when I was convinced that Mark Blount is the stupidest basketball player in the known universe, who made even Waltuh look like Havlicek. Not so much anymore, but it's a little hard for people to accept that the erstwhile class retard is now the valedictorian.
Besides, does anybody really think that Blount can sustain the present productivity level? The conditions that are producing this incredible upturn in output - end of the contract year, wanting to get the hell out and needing to make himself as marketable as possible, a coach who thinks Blount is absolutely indispensable, maturation at the right time - may never co-occur again in Blount's career. Chris Wallace's outrageous claim ("Mark Blount would be a Top 15 pick in this year's draft) having finally come true, Blount may yet again fall into the netherworld of deep second round when he's made comfortable. Yet right now, somewhere in Thailand or Timbuktu, Chris Wallace is contentedly muttering to himself while scouting the local junior high game - "See, I told them he was a Top 3 pick! They didn't believe me!" - while the uncomprehending natives shake their heads, figuring the fat white man has completely lost his marbles.
