Re: coach

I join in the dissent here. Thompson has been out of coaching at ANY level for four or five years. He has never dealt with the egos at the pro level. Maybe he'd do fine, but he has to pay his dues as an assistant first. Whenever I hear about someone who hasn't been a coach in a while and doesn't get another job, I figure maybe there's a reason for it. Chris Ford had two head coaching jobs, but hasn't been offered a third one yet. (He's interim in Philly, and probalby VERY interim.) Similarly, I sorta figure there's some reason why Thompson has never been in the NBA.
