Re: Walton still trippin

Sorry I brought up the topic. I just thought it was funny. I guess what's really funny (or sad) is that from the very beginning of "celtic message boards era", one thing will always be a common thread, turmoil.
Living out west I watched Walton break in as the Clipper announcer. He used to drive me nuts but I then realized that the guy was living on a level unlike any other sports announcer working. (For crying out loud, Walton somehow got Bird and McHale to Dead shows.)
Anyhow, I've grown to like, and look forward to Walton's broadcast. I personally think it's funny when a mediocre player makes one great play and Walton exclaims, " That is why Micheal Olowakandi will be the next Kareem..." Considering the state of the NBA, and it's player's total lack of subtlety, I think ESPN is dang lucky to have a guy like Walton. I thought his 30 playoff games in 30 days last year was great.
Still, I'm not surprised some people can't stand him. Look at Danny Ainge. The guy is absolutely getting killed by fans, press, whoever. Personally, since the day he traded Walker, he's been my hero:)
