It almost makes one think about how easy it would be to arrange by simply ignoring the prohibition from the NBA just vacated yesterday. Plane ticket and everything, uniform included.
Well no, in fairness, once the Cs waived him, the negotiations could have legally started back then. No reason to wait for the arbitrator's decision for anything but the actual signatures. Especially as there's no real negotiation about it. His camp only wanted it to be through this season and it was always going to be for the pro-rated veteran's minimum. Reportedly only 2 teams interested and only one of them with any real playoff shot. Slam dunk.
