surprised at media reaction

my initial thoughts:

 - very happy that OB resigned. I think the team was drowning with his
playing style. I don't mind giving up the Ws -- we're giving them up
anyway.

 - very surprised that the media was so down on this, while at the same
time they all acknowleged that they hated Obie-ball. They all seem to
be on the page that it is better to keep the team as is playing poorly
since we're in the crappy EC and have a chance at a good playoff berth.

I (like many here) are on the other page - I want to see Banks &
Perkins, a running offense, ball movement, etc. , even if it means a
learning curve for young players and missing the playoffs. I was
really surprised that to a man, the Boston writers would rather see
Obie ball and a 1st or 2nd round exit. Are we really that much in the
minority?

If Ainge could have kept Eric Williams, he would have. If he needed to
deal him to get Ricky Davis - so be it. You can't get something for
nothing. I like what Danny has done.

Who should be our next coach? Doc Rivers?

Pierce is not a good 'da man' kind of player. He puts up 'da man'
numbers when he has someone else in charge, like Antoine was. I think
we need to get someone like that to play next to him - no ideas of who
at the moment. When he tries to shoulder everything, he's terrible.
