RE: Troy Murphy anyone? from RealGM

Jones has not shown much and with the acquisition of Davis he is expendable.
I would move him and Blount for Murphy or better yet get Juan Dixon and Etan
Thomas out of Washington. Thomas is a physical 4 and Dixon adds some point
and perimeter help. Moving James for Jeff Mcginnis or Jamal Crawford would
be nice.

Subject: Troy Murphy anyone? from RealGM

Don't know about this but Murphy does seem to fit the triple threat player
(shoot, pass, rebound) bill, fundamentally sound players, that Ainge seems
to
seek out. That is why Walta, although lovable, is an endangered species.

That is why I think Hunter is also likely to be traded. I'm sure the GMs are
well aware of what he did in the Boston summer leagues. But he doesn't have
the shooting touch right now that would make him a legitimate player. That
is
why I think the best trade would be a Hunter and Jones for Murphy. Hunter
has
promise but will need time to develop and you, I and Danny know that Obie
hates
players who can't shoot. Troy hasn't done much since he has come back from
injury so his value his way down. He is a fighter and we need a real power
forward.

<Post Help in Beantown
Troy Murphy, one of Golden State's most improved player, is on the
block.
In his last year of his contract, teams with post help would not mind
acquiring. He is not a large contract that can mess-up the team's chemistry.
Cliff
Robinson, acquired from Detroit for Bob Sura, has replaced Troy Murphy at
starting Power Forward, due to an injury. Sources learned that he will be
traded to
Boston by the deadline, most likely.
Traded from Cleveland to Boston, Jumaine Jones has not played much this
season. He fits in the system of 3pointers from coach Jim O'Brien, but has
still
not managed to find playing time. Meanwhile the Warriors will also send
Calbert Cheaney, and for the Celtics, Mark Blount. Mark Blount, is on the
block
because the emergence of Chris Mihm can make him a starter, or back-up when
LaFrentz comes back.
