Stephon Marbury is a stud who we would take in a heartbeat if only we
could get him.  I was in attendance the night Phoenix beat us with the
big comeback.  It was largely on his shoulders.

I understand that everyone is down on Obie and his style of play but
didn't Ainge say that he is not really concerned about this year anyway?
Didn't he say that he is structuring this team for the future and not
the present.  Didn't many on this list agree with that thought and say
it was the best thing for this team?

So why the hubub?  We know how Obie is.  We know what Walter does.  We
know that Paul is da man.  We know the youngsters won't get much time.

But we also know that this team will play some periods of good defense.
Even last night, as bad as they played, they were tied at 65 with 7
minutes left before they blew it.  Their defensive effort is there.  But
they need to be taught an offense.

But hey, Danny likes what he sees as he looks to the future.  Why
complain :-)

Marbury reminds me a lot of Walker a shoot first pass second type
player. That is why he has been traded about 5 times. An Iverson like
point that has not helped any of the teams improve.

Well, sort of.  Marbury will go to NY and showcase his many talents,
become the hub of their playoff hopes, pile up the stats, and remake the
team in his image--ah, there's the comparison.  Marbury is more talented
than Walker but each had too much of a grip on their team; isn't that a
strange way of seeing things.  But, I think it's right.  Phoenix
couldn't win enough with him, so it makes sense to go in another
direction.  Same thing Boston did. It's hard to fill in the right role
players around certain "veteran all-stars."  (And, of course, the money
issues are key.)  Good luck to the Mavericks and may Marbury enjoy being
