My thoughts after our win

Did anyone notice how the team slid when Brandon was out to the game and how 
the Cs picked it up when returned?.....

Atkins continued to show how much we were hurting in the point guard area 
prior to the last trade. But Carroll still got Banks his 14 developmental 
minutes, this game. Good job, Carroll.....

Once we had a three on 2 and Chucky was bringing the ball down on the left 
side with Blount in the midde and another play on the right wing. Chucky wrapped 
his right arm around his back in a fundamental signal to come behind him to 
balance the break and get the ball in the middle. Blount just looked at him and 
kept running straight ahead. So Chucky dribbles directly in front of Blount 
forcing him to go behind him and get the ball in the middle. However, at that 
point, Chucky was at the right of center and at the free throw line so the fast 
breaking damage had been done. It is unbelieveable how unschooled these guys 
are on simple, fundamental fast break basketball. This is taught in junior 
high basketball. If the coaches aren't going to teach them, at least we have a 
point guard like Chucky who has been taught enough that he can coach it on the 
floor....

The Celtics are not a good passing team. I don't know how many times to see a 
ball delivered in the wrong spot that screws up a play. I am hoping over time 
these guys will be comfortable enough with what each player and play is going 
to do....

After watching what Hunter did and seeing the coach say he wasn't aware of 
Hunter's talents, does anyone else think that Kendrick shouldn't be rolled out 
there and see what he can do also?.....

After seeing what rebounding can do, why can't Mihm, who only got 16 minutes, 
get Hunter's backup minutes? Carroll needs to revise his substitution pattern 
so that Walter only gets minutes if Brandon or Blount get early foul 
trouble....

For the second game in a row, I really have to hand it to Blount who is 
showing he CAN be a good rebounder and is really playing inspired ball. I don't 
know if it because he looking for a contract, he got over Obie leaving, Hunter 
has inspired him or if Hunter is drawing all the rebounding attention leaving 
him free. I think it is the last two. However, if he keeps playing this well, I 
want to keep him.....

We got a win and have been playing better since Hunter and Chucky were added. 
However, the defense is still shakey to me. We had trouble scoring at the end 
of the game and the Raptors should have been able to take advantage of it. 
They got themselves plenty of open shots by passing and swinging the ball around 
the horn. However, their shooters are all injured so no one would or could 
shoot the ball when open. I think any other team would have come back on us. 
Right now, I think the Harter defense is the area to be improved/tweaked.....

Expansion. I just don't see Danny giving up Raef in the expansion draft. 
Shaun Elliot brought out how the Cs will be so much better next year with Raef 
back along with a MLE. People argue that if Raef gets taken in the expansion 
draft, we can use the cap space for someone else. But there aren't any centers who 
are available or who would sign with us. Raef, with his outside shot, is the 
perfect compliment to Hunter.  I think we make Chucky, although valuable, 
available and we sign some other point guard with that free agent money if he gets 
taken.....
