Sigh... I guess that's it



This is Ainge's first failure. It's not that this trade hurts the
Celtics. It really doesn't. Atkins-James is a wash on the court. But
you're buying a late first-rounder for $5.5 million (the total for the
two years left on Atkins' contract, minus the cash the Celtics get).
That's too much. I understand buying the draft pick, but this is too
much to pay for a late first-round draft pick. Yes, the Celtics now have
three first-rounders, but it's not like any of them are that great. I
just don't get it. It's a nothing move. The Mills contract was too much
of an asset to come away with nothing but a late first-rounder.



Just really disappointing.
