Re: Carroll -- dead man walking

Nah, that's the fast break to the local bar -- and minutes not hours ;?)

FWIW I didn't take Heinsohn's claim seriously (shoulda put a wink behind it,
but all those brackets get confusing). However, a dramatic change at the
helm right now could not do any more harm that Carroll's diffident presence
seems to be causing. Sometimes less is more and a focus on certain basics
(fast breaks, man-to-man D) and simple variations can lead to better chances
for success.

Isn't that pretty much what Obie did when he took over? Simplify and get out
of the way?

Plus Heinsohn's larger than life presence would certainly take some of the
spotlight away from the team's recent woes and allow them to refocus on just
playing ball.
